Re-envisioning the student experience for the future: new imperatives and opportunities for Australian higher education
This Symposium looks to the future of Australian higher education and the key changes needed to improve the student experience. It asks how we preserve it during periods of disruption like we have experienced in the Covid-19 pandemic, and how we enrich it through better connections with the wider world. Join the Melbourne Centre for the Study of Higher Education (MSHE) for a conversation with thought-leaders, higher education researchers, educators, practitioners and community members to discuss new imperatives for the higher education sector:
- What do students need to succeed and thrive at university?
- What is the role of place and community for universities in the future?
- How can we re-imagine internationalisation for a sustainable future?
- What do we need to future-proof a positive student experience during times of major disruption?
Delegates will have the opportunity to submit questions for our featured speakers and expert panels before the event.
This symposium will be a hybrid event with the in-person gathering held at the University of Melbourne, Parkville.
