Announcing the second event in the Study Centre Circular Head Aboriginal Lecture Series: Brendan Murray: Learning at the Edge of the World.

In this inspirational yarn, pakana man Brendan Murray reflects on his journey from illiterate adult to tertiary student, studying a bachelor degree at the University of Tasmania. And considers the impact of education in a cultural and regional Tasmanian context.

Brendan Murray is a student engagement officer at riawunna. The University of Tasmania’s riawunna team is focused on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student success, providing a culturally welcoming space for Aboriginal students to study, access academic and cultural support and be a part of a dynamic community of learners.
