European Access Network World Congress 2015 Post-Doctoral Scholarship Programme

The European Access Network (EAN) 2015 World Congress will be held in Sunway University, Malaysia in early October 2015. The congress is concerned with ways to boost access and equity to post-secondary education worldwide. In the lead-up to the congress, Sunway University will be offering the Post-doctoral Scholarship Programme.

Positions Available:
Three scholars from poorer and developing countries to visit Sunway University for a period ranging from one to three months, to undertake a research project on issues related to access, equity, widening participation and student success in post-secondary education. Access and equity refer to

“wider access to higher education for those who are currently under-represented, whether for reasons of gender, ethnic origin, nationality, age, disability, family background, vocational training, geographic location or earlier educational disadvantage” – European Access Network.

Success refers to the accomplishment of students in post-secondary education entering under access and equity provisions. Applicants should be academic staff located in a poorer and developing country, preferably with research and publication experience as well as have familiarity with the concept of access, equity and success in post-secondary education. The successful applicants will be employees of Sunway University for the period of their stay at Sunway University.
