National Career Development Learning Hub for students with disability
The National Careers Institute has funded a project to investigate best practice career support for students with disability with the aim of establishing the first dedicated national Career Development Learning (CDL) Hub for students with disability. The CDL Hub will include an accessible range of freely available resources and practical examples of programs that address careers for students with disability across stages of the student experience.
We want to hear from you!
We invite participants from three categories to contribute their experiences to the project. Click on the link for more information and to participate.
- Students with disability
(at university, TAFE or VET) - Parents/carers of students with disability
(at primary, secondary or tertiary age) - Stakeholders in careers or disability services
(including practitioners, career advisers, school leaders, equity practitioners, career services providers, members of industry bodies and anyone who has an interest in disability careers support)

The National Disability Coordination Officer program facilitated a short information session with Project Manager Dr Olivia Groves on 24 June 2021. The information focused on the surveys being distributed and how we as a sector can ensure the voices of students with disability and other relevant stakeholders are heard.
This recording will be of interest to career practitioners in both secondary and tertiary education, disability practitioners, NDCO, disability related senior secondary school staff, senior schooling transitions staff, and guidance officers in secondary school.

This study has been approved by the Human Research Ethics Committee at Curtin University (HRE2021-0219) and is commencing data collection.
