UTS: Jumbunna hosts The Aspiration Initiative Academic Enrichment Program Study Intensive

Jumbunna Indigenous House of Learning, based at the University of Technology, Sydney, recently hosted a six-day Academic Enrichment Program study intensive facilitated by The Aspiration Initiative.

The program included a series of workshops designed to assist Year 11 and 12 students with time management skills, study skills, exam preparation and understanding the Year 11 and 12 syllabi.

The Aspiration Initiative team, in collaboration with UTS: Jumbunna staff, provided students with daily support by way of tutoring, mentoring, and the opportunity for participants to meet and talk with industry professionals.

“At UTS: Jumbunna we believe that Indigenous education is not only about creating opportunities for Indigenous people, but is equally about creating opportunities for all Australians to gain a deeper understanding of Indigenous Australia – the most ancient thread in our national fabric. It is about taking us all into the future. It is about nation building.”

– Professor Michael McDaniel, Director, Jumbunna Indigenous House of Learning
