Wonkhe @ Home: The New Normal – What will it look like and how will universities get there?

Event Details
Online Webinar
15 May 2020

From designer PPE to improbably socially distanced lecture theatres, the “new normal” for university life is going to look like a strange and unusual place in a few months time. But how is it all going to work and how on earth will we get there safely? Kicking off this new series of events — Wonkhe @ Home, Jim Dickinson will cut through all the background noise and big political debates to take you on a tour of the unique challenges ahead facing university leaders, students and the whole university community. For background reading, see Jim’s challenge to the sector.

And in response, they will debate his ideas with an expert panel hosted by Wonkhe’s editor in chief Mark Leach, with Mary Stuart, Vice Chancellor of the University of Lincoln, Jonathan Grant, Vice President of Kings College London and other speakers TBA.

Who’s it for?

  • Leaders, managers, heads of department — from comms to planning, to estates, to IT and everything in between.
  • Academics wondering what on earth your university will look like later this year.
  • Anyone else interested in how UK universities will need to change in the months and years ahead.
