Vocational Institutions, Undergraduate Degrees — Lecture and Panel
Deakin Downtown, 727 Collins Street, Tower 2 Level 12, Melbourne Victoria
5 May 2020
This is the final event and public lecture for the ARC Discovery Project Vocational Institutions, Undergraduate Degrees.
About this Event
This event presents the findings of the Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery Project Vocational Institutions, Undergraduate Degrees and reports on the consultation process which informed the final stages of the project.
At the heart of this ARC Discovery project is the desire to understand what new tertiary qualifications are being offered by Australia’s TAFE institutions through the recent expansion of higher education in traditionally vocational institutions and whether these offerings drive innovation and increase the participation of all equity groups in higher education. And what, if anything, is distinctive about these higher education offerings in vocational institutions?
This event will include a lecture and then there will be an panel discussing the question of equity and distinction in higher education provision in Australia.
Attendance is free and afternoon tea is catered, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for any access or dietary requirements.
The event will run from 2:00 to 4:00 AEST and there is an option for live streaming through Zoom.
