Event Details
Online Webinar

Universities have been around for a long time, and are constantly evolving under social and economic influences.

The Australian higher education sector is at a crucial moment in history – what kind of university does society need now? Are they gatekeepers of accreditation, or can they operate in a way that strengthens community, democracy, and culture?

Join the UTS Centre for Social Justice and Inclusion in discussion on the social and public purpose of higher education in the 21st century, with speakers:

  • Distinguished Professor Larissa Behrendt AO (UTS Jumbunna Institute)
Professor Glyn Davis AC (Paul Ramsay Foundation)
Professor Jonathan Grant (King’s College London)
The Hon. Verity Firth (UTS Centre for Social Justice & Inclusion)
