An exhibition of artworks by Indigenous and non-Indigenous prisoners from the Southern Queensland Correctional Centre

The exhibition marks the launch of the Australian Government HEPPP-funded Making the Connection project which will create pathways into higher education for Indigenous and non-Indigenous students. The project demonstrates the University of Southern Queensland’s ongoing commitment to creating better outcomes for Indigenous and incarcerated students.

Curated by Simon Mee and Helen Farley, the exhibition gives prisoners the opportunity to exhibit artwork reflecting their innermost feelings. Many of the prisoners involved have only started creating artworks since being incarcerated.

Please visit the University of Southern Queensland’s website for a map and directions to the Toowoomba campus.
