2021 HERDSA Conference: Research & Development in Higher Education

The 43rd annual conference of the Higher Education Research and Development Society of Australasia (HERDSA) will be held on 7–10 July 2021 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Brisbane.

HERDSA is a scholarly society for people committed to the advancement of higher education and promotes the development of higher education policy, practice and the study of teaching and learning. This year’s focus is on Research and Development in Higher Education. Higher education is operating in a challenging world. Research and development in higher education, in which we are all involved, contributes significantly to creating learning experiences which equip students to address these challenges and make the world a better place. HERDSA 2020 is the place to share your contributions with your colleagues.

The planning committee has endeavoured to capture a range of topics, issues, interests and scholarship representative of higher education, under six broad categories.

  • governance and policy
  • teaching, learning and the student experience
  • pathways and partnerships
  • innovation and research
  • professional learning for academic practice
  • values, justice and integrity.
