American Tales of Social Justice Engagement
Joseph Slavens, a Research Assistant and Research Team Co-Investigator at Azusa Pacific University (APU) in Los Angeles, and a Doctoral student in APU’s Higher Education Department, recently presented his American Tales of Social Justice Engagement at the NCSEHE in late 2015.
In his presentation, Joe discussed his team’s research, which has focused on the experiences of professional staff in Christian institutions of higher education within the United States, who have demonstrated a commitment to social justice. Based on these learnings, Joe offered insights and recommendations for practice.
Below is the full audio recording of Joe’s presentation, along with a transcript and corresponding PowerPoint slides.
